The canonized version of the Old Testament does not state any particular time period. However, the Book of Jubilees (2 century BC) 3:17, states Eve was tempted on the 17th day of the 2nd month of the 8th year after Adam's creation. It goes on to say in 3:33 that they were expelled on the new moon of the 4th month of the 8th year. Accordingly your answer would be seven years, four months and some days.
