Spelling Bee

Postby dolfan » November 22nd, 2011, 8:26 am

My daughter's school was dismissed early today for inclement weather coming in (knee jerk reactions after the April tornadoes). But, not before she completed her 2nd grade classroom spellng bee which started yesterday. She placed 2nd (same as last year) to the same little girl who won the classroom bee last year. They will both represent their grade from her school in the ACSI Regional Spelling Bee early next year. She called me to let me know. Very, very excited. And, of course, I'm super, super proud of her. She's a very good little speller. :)

And, congrats to the little brat that beat her. JUST KIDDING -- she's a sweet kid and her parents are really nice. :D

Towel.

She spelled it "towle". We had actually gone over that in the car on the way to school today. (They haven't gotten to the "le" and "el" section of their spelling words yet this year. They will in two weeks.) :)

Little stinker can quote you all of her memory verses for the year so far, with references most of the time.
