The is reason for all the questions on Isreal.

Recently I have been noticing just how close to Israel-idolatry many Christians have been indulging in. From bringing in shofars to blow in Christian services or referring to Jesus by a Hebraic name or becoming more Jewishlike.

Jesus has been shuffled to the background. Dont live your life to please Jesus, life like a Jew for blesssings so Phenominal your grandchildrens heads will spin.

This is only ONE permutation of the Jew/Israel Worship. JOhn Hagee reads the scriptures in such a way that JESUS NEVER came to be the Messiah, and that Jewish sacrificed COWS are EQUALLY to the BLOOD OF CHRIST in REMOVING SIN as SOON as they start doing it again.

Jesus has been equated to a fly swatting cow.

Most ridiculous is the idea that a New Temple will be something of Import.
SOmehow, WITHOUT JESUS, they achieve a Holiness, AND IN THIS CONTINUAL DEFIANCE OF THEIR MESSIAH, they SOMEHOW IMPRESS the MESSIAH so much he visits them bodily and eventually reigns from a temple they constructed in DEFIANCE of HIM.


IN A NUTSHELL: JESUS IS NOT PARAMOUNT. ISRAEL is.


JESUS is the focus of scripture, not Israel.

JESUS is the FUlfilment of scripture, NOT Israel.

JESUS Is the most important thing in scripture, NOT ISRAEL.

JESUS is the source of all blessings in or life, NOt living like a Jew.

JESUS is the new Temple, not no stinking temple built by people who REFUSE HIM.

After living a life in churches that bordeline Idolize a people and nation, I've had enough.

Gerald, I find some irony in all of it myself. For example, it dumbfounds me how a people whose grandparents suffered through the holocaust of WWII are vigilant about that history and excoriate anyone who denies it or minimizes its importance today --- while they, at the same time, deny the death of one man who gave his life for the whole nation of Israel and excoriate anyone who tries to press them on it. I find it particularly troublesome when the Jewish political interest groups in America lambast Ray Comfort for comparing abortion to the holocaust in his movie, 180 and call him disgusting for it. Comfort is, himself, Jewish by descent.

So, yes, I don't get all soft hearted and mushy feelings about Israel as a political entity. The Bible says to keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. The writer of that instruction to the Hebrews did not instruct them to watch national events in Israel. I'm not denying anything that any others post here about Israel, but I'm not buying in fully, either. I believe what Paul wrote about the remnant of Israel to be saved is yet to occur. I also believe that I'm in Alabama, not in the Middle East, and that my focus must be where God has planted me, and for the purpose of "rescuing the perishing" while there is time to rescue.

Also it's a seduction to go back into the feasts and observances of the law. Paul describes this as a shadow when we have substance in a living Savior, Jesus Christ.

It's like me carrying around a photograph of my beautiful wife, showing it to everyone and kissing and loving on it - DEAD PAPER.... when my full warm blooded wife with her LOVING, FORGIVING, ARMS open wide is being ignored right next to me. She is here, real and desires an intimate relationship with me - just like Jesus Christ. The dead paper is just a shadow of the real thing. Paul says it's NOTHING to go back to. Zip Zero Nadda.

Jesus revealed the Goodness of God. If we fail to get that basic core teaching.. the rest can easily be manipulated by these law pimps.
