Question about Outlook express

Postby Susie Hamilton » December 8th, 2011, 1:24 pm

My Mom uses Outlook for her email account. She is having a problem getting a lot of spam, some of which is, um, not nice. I have been looking for a program that will filter out these emails. Does anyone know of a good free program she can use? Thanks.

Try Thunderbird. It has some great spam filters. I use it.

Also ask the host to see if they can increase the spam filter level on the server before it even gets to here.

The main thing is for her to stop forwarding all the emails that she gets. This just increases her spam load. Spam bots harvest these forwards and blitz all in the list. If she must sent... BCC eveyone and spare them the spam.

Have you looked into this: http://www.spamfighter.com/Product_Info.asp

When I used Outlook 2002 I had a spam filter that was a plugin and it worked great. I don't remember right out hand who made it, but this link may help. I can't say that I've tryed it.
