And so it continues...

Tim Tebow: God's Quarterback
He has led the Denver Broncos to one improbable victory after another—defying his critics and revealing the deep-seated anxieties in American society about the intertwining of religion and sports.

Boy ain't got no quit in him.
Human government bears the same relation to hell as the church bears to heaven. (David Lipscomb, On Civil Government, 72).

You got that right. He played three quarters in high school on a broken fibula. The coach gave him an option to sit out, but he kept right on plugging away --- pain and all.

Kid named Deacon. Deacon Aldridge. QB for Hartselle Tigers in Hartselle, AL. They won the 5A championship couple of weeks ago. He played almost the entire game with a torn MCL and broken ankle following a 1st quarter tackle. Gutted it out, man. The game was on TV. I had not seen anybody do anything like that in a long time....closest things I can remember were Tiger Woods and former Alabama punter Lane Bearden.

Hehe.. This is probably what ticks all the sports fans haters off.

Tebow Stresses form article:
Image

"He stresses that football is just a GAME and that God doesn't care who wins or loses."

He really believes this. The die hard fans don't think this guy deserves to be in this spot. He's not sold out, a true believer in his own hype... doesn't bow to the "sports religion idols and thus worship order"

Heck.. they would accept him 100% if he was sacrificing small animals on the sidelines to [insert god here] in 100% selfish goal to win this game for his fans and team. At least then he would be perceived to be in the game. IE: 100% sold out.

This guy is showing you can be disconnected from the BORG's conventional wisdom and thrive. I love it.. because if you don't recognize the functioning Unconventional Wisdom here... you're missing a big treat from your Father in heaven.

A few people are pushing the envelope, like "In Tebow we trust" or "In the name of Tebow we pray" etc. that's just stupid. 8)
What we need here is a good revival! lol
