Dear Windows user:

His post looks fine on my Mac and the large photo is clearly visible.

Yep but unfortunately we've travelled to a societal time where soft porn is displayed in the check out aisles at local grocery stores for our children to view. I tend to think 1922 was at least safer in said regard.

Ten years later (1932) Maureen O'sullivan was swimming nude in the first Weismuller Tarzan film.

The footage was cut for modern audiences.

One must also remember that the same era from which this picture is from also produced burlesque which made strippers like Sally Rand and Gypsy Rose Lee household names. (Many of the "clean" comedy giants of the early 20th century worked with strippers at one time or another.)

That decade also produced the "flapper" Women decicated to drinking, smoking and casual sex.

My whole point: It's easy to look at one picture and reconstruct a fabled time, if you are ignorant of the entire society.

As the mother of a 13 year old son, I agree.
There never was a horse that couldn't be rode and there never was a cowboy that couldn't be throwed.
