RIP Goober
He was the namesake of the annual film festival at the University of North Alabama, my alma mater, former quarterback there for Harlon Hill (Div 2 football's namesake for its version of the Heisman Trophy), and a native of Alabama. Hilarious actor. Was in poor health but appeared at the festival in March.
Human government bears the same relation to hell as the church bears to heaven. (David Lipscomb, On Civil Government, 72).
