Is Lance Armstrong a doper, as alleged?

Postby dolfan » June 15th, 2012, 10:28 am

I always watched the end of the Tour de France with a bit of excitement during Greg LeMond's years and again while Armstrong was competing and winning. Do you think the latest doping allegations against Armstrong are legit or someone's vendetta? I admit -- where there's smoke there's usually a fire; but, I also know that in these kinds of things, power plays and get-backs are plenty of reason to taint someone without cause. What do you think? I really don't know.

So hard to say anymore....I have been so disapointed these last few years , and I have so little faith in sports figures as a whole.

I honestly dont know, but I agree with your statement above. I'm of the mindset that it was way more prevelant during that era in many sports than what we'd like to admit.

I hope he is proved innocent, but we'll just have to wait and see.
Let the wild rumpus start!

Yeah I remember Greg LeMond and then came Lance Armstrong. I would only hope it's not true. To give him some credit he was among the leaders in advancing cycling, but as it seems an very high percent of those that have been pointed out used drugs to enhance. Although I doubt any amount of evdience against him will be proven. We more than likey will be hearing the rumors for a long time.
