A few years ago a friend came to me, he had lost their home, car, boat, and was moving back in with his parents (age 44) with his family. His business had completely collapsed and he was at the verge of bankrupecy. He told me he had one precious gift left and wanted to sow it into to Nancy and I. It was a beautiful peersonally signed large Kinkade painting valued at $5000. I was overwhelmed and consider it very special.

A few weeks ago at a directors meeting, with directors from all over the world in attendance there was a banquet to raise funds for these Back Packs, with built in solor panels, a battery the size of a Ipad, projector, speaker, LCD projector and all the bible school material for a complete school. Incrediable set up. The cost including school material is $1,600. They were also at the same time holding a silent auction for this project. My wife said: Paul, God said sow the painting.... We did. It brought in $4,700.

This past Sunday we received word that a church in Tulsa committed to purchasing 27 of these Back Packs for our ministry. That comes to $37,200 plus a gift of $10,000 for our mission fund.

Our church of 300 took up Faith Promises for this years mission work alone, and they total over $700,000.

The kicker was when we arrived home Sunday we had a call and a couple wanted to come by. They said that God share with them they were to sow something into Nancy and I. It was a beautiful large size Kinkade painting values at $6,000.

We cast our bread upon the waters in faith, not only did it come back to us but 27 Back packs and $700,000 in faith promises for missions.

I can barely type this for shouting, rejoicing, crying and all other kinds of emotions. God is so gracious.
You cannot effectively love and minister to others when you are obsessed with protecting
and preserving yourself.

Awesome story. Obedience is better than sacrifice. And, it is amazing when God demonstrated that He is pleased with our obedience.
Human government bears the same relation to hell as the church bears to heaven. (David Lipscomb, On Civil Government, 72).
