25th anniversary

My lovely wife, Lesley, and I are celebrating 25 years of marriage today. Thank God that He always gives me better than I deserve. I could not want a more perfect wife, friend and, for 9 years now, mother to raise a daughter with. She is a hoot to serve God with, and she is the love of my life who impresses me more and more every time I turn around. So smart.

It is not just a milestone, but in my family of multiple divorces, it is a miracle. Everyone who has been married for any length of time knows you get remarried, in a sense, every day. New grace. New patience. New affections. New slate. Both directions. So, I'm blessed along with all of you married folks to have the clock start running on Day 3 on year 26 of all that newness.
