Your Favorite Flag?

Which one of these would you consider to be your favorite flag?

Wow, what a tough question! I am a flag nut--not for the flags themself, but for what they stand for. I have an American flag on my desk, an American and a church flag on my car (yes, I do!), at present I have a state flag of Mississippi on my lapel (my adopted state), a Tennessee flag on my desk at home (another adopted state), and an Ohio flag on my refrigerator. Whew! Yep, I love flags! :oops:

Wife just washed my Tennessee flag.

My, but it is a beaut.

I can't imagine any other state flag that comes close.

Well maybe Mississipi and Teaxas'.

Gerald, I find it hard to think that the Tennessee flag is more beautiful than Kentucky's flag.

Speaking of flags......in 1969, the year I spent in Vietnam, my best buddy wrote letters to senators, representatives or Govenors from each of the 50 states stating that he was from their state, (lie of course) and was serving the U.S. in Vietnam. Actually, he was, and is form Kansas.
He recieved a flag from almost every state. Some sent full size cloth flags, others sent small plastic flags and others sent decals.
I guess he was bored as there was very little to do to keep one occupied.

Because believers from every tribe, tongue, race, dialect, nation, political persuasion, and socio-economic background can find identity in the "Christian Flag."

This family of God is a wonderful thing.

I think the Israelis have a cool flag too, MB.

But... my favorite is still the good ole' A-mur-ican Stars and Stripes. I get chill bumps looking at it and hearing the national anthem play.

From an emotional perspective, I'd have to say the Stars & Stripes... the olympic medalists standing up there, anthem playing... Iwo Jima... the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor... being in Vietnam and seeing that flag over a building meant safety and 'home'... very emotional.

I have an emotional mixed-reaction to the COGOP flag. It also represents "us" to me but has been coopted by people who disagree with me way too much for me to be passionate about it. Nice design. Great colors. Symbolism of Christ is excellent.

From simply a beauty and design perspective, I like the Confederate Stars and Bars and the Union Jack. Classic. The Israeli Flag, likewise. I grew up in Alabama, and the big red X was nice. My home is now Hawaii, and the melding of US Flag elements and the Union Jack is lovely.

Like Lebear, I have always enjoyed flags and their design and the emotionally evocative responses to them.

It's tough for me too.

I think the Tennessee flag is mine.

If it were not for the ignorance and racism, the confederate battle flag would most likely be no. 1.

I love the American flag and what she stands for. I proudly fly my flag on holidays, during National or State mourning, and other times when she should be displayed. I admire and respect the others mentioned. I do like the Texas state flag. I have always loved the Christian flag. As far as the church flag, our church does not have a "church flag". There is no need. We, as Christians, have the Cross of Calvary for our emblem.
