I feel bad saying that because they guy is a Christian.

It is not easy for a first year coach to get all his players on the same page. Esp in the first few games....

Well I'm a die-hard WVU (West Virginia University) Mountaineer fan for football. However, this year will be a down year for them. As a matter of fact I'm not sure the Big East this year deserves a BCS bid. Good thing UL came to the conference this year instead of last, TC. They would have never had the good of a year last year. The only tough game UL has in the Big East is they have to go to Morgantown to play WVU. They get Pitt at home, but after last week, who knows what's up with Pitt. They had nearly everyone back from last year.

NC game prediction. UT as in Texas, vs. USC as in Southern Cal.

That's right folks you heard it first here.

Tell me if this conference deserves a BCS bid:

OVER A NINE YEAR PERIOD THIS CONFERENCE...

-Had one program who won over 97% (70-2) of their conference games.

-Had that same program win all nine conference championships (7 overall and 2 co-championships).

-This dominate team went undefeated 7-of-the-9 years in that conference.

-Only one other team in that period of time managed win atleast two-thirds of their conference games (47-35 66.5%)

-The dominate team won 90% of their games.

-The other programs had the following overall winning percentages: .664; .636; .561; .552; .538; .368; .354; .250

-The overall out of conference winning percentage of this conference was 61.3% (and thats counting all I-AA games)

-This conference was thought of at the time as nothing more than a great basketball conference with one good football program.

Doesn't sound like me that this conference was very strong and in no way was comparable over this same period of time with the Big conferences....
YET at NO time did they talk about removing the BCS bowl bid.

WHAT IS THIS CONFERENCE?????

When Miami was in the Big East they are really the only team that was a top team on a regular basis. To me Miami leaving was one of the dumbest moves in college sports. If miami stayed in the Big east they could continue to get the BCS bowl bid tie in on a fairly regular basis. The conference would still be considered Miami and the rest.. BUT by moving to the ACC they will continue to play FSU and Fla on a regular basis, But now when they play FSU if they lose it can really put the Loser out of contention for the championship of the ACC as well and the National Championsip. Look at this year. NOW since Miami has lost to FSU they have to hope that FSU loses 2 conference game and Miami has to win out. They both could get the division championship but a Loss in that would put them out, If you were undefeated going into the championship game and LOST that game you would Not get the BSC bid. SO now if you are Miami you have to win out and win the championship game and hope that every other team in the top 10 loses JUST to get a shot at the title.

They use the excuse that they did it for basketball, YET most of the talking heads say that the New Big East is the Best Basketball conference in the country. ( even after Huggins left Cincy)

What money would that be, Money for Miami for a Conf Champ game... I would bet that the BCS bowl money they got from a BSC bowl would be more than a secondary bowl, and a championship...Plus any bowl money is one thing, BUT that is not the ONLY thing. They also would get NCAA Final four money.

I haven't seen the deal they made with the ACC yet, but you can bet it's all money. The deal they had with the Big East allowed them to keep almost all their football monies and get equal shares of the basketball monies from the conference. At that level it is not a sport anymore - it's business.

Looks like Tennessee is going to lose to Florida. Down 16-7 with 4:28 minutes to go in the forth. But Tennessee is receiving the the ball now.

MIGHTY OREGON pulls out a win over Fresno State 37-34. Now that we know the offense works, we will be in for a shootout against USC at home. I expect us to lose but I would not be surprised if we win.
