I suppose

Andy, that you can sleep with the closet doors open, too, right? Open closet doors make everything look sloppy and unmade beds just adds to the sloppy atmosphere. As far as who is going to look at your room< who knows, but I know I am and that counts for something

I very seldom make my bed unless I have some friend or friends coming over. I rent a room from a family so they will be in my bed room. This will change once Katia comes here, she likes everything organized and clean.

She would probably kill me if she saw how my room looks now  Or I would be going to Macy's to buy some perfume.

Andy, it doesn't matter who may come by....I will see it, my husband will see it, my kids will see it....it's also part of being an example to them when they leave the nest. Though they don't make theirs up all the time, they try.

Believe me....a made up bed is so much better feeling to get into at night than a rumpled up one!

Yep, the door is wide open but as far as sloppy,...Well, that's in the eye of the beholder.

The floor is clean, no clothes laying anywhere, trash is in the trash can, no food lying around half eaten. The bed is not messy, just slept in and the closet door is open....Comfortable

That's a matter of opinion. I think I leave an example of someone who'd rather spend time with my family than waste it on doing something which is ultimately pointless in the end.

No one is going to stand at my funeral and say"..and Andy always kept his bed made." or .."Andy never made his bed." In the long run, it just doesn't matter one way or another.

As far as feeling better...you say to-MAY-toe, I say to-MAH-toe... :P

Naw, it's not not a "man-woman" thing, it's a personality thing.

My dad won't leave the bedroom in the mornings without making the bed. My brother is much the same way.

You probably have a desire to see most things with a sort of "order" to them and feel uncomfortable in a chaotic situation. I tend more toward Chaos and find comfort in disorder. It feels more "normal"

BTW never take more than a year of Psych or Abnormal Psych. It really screws with your head. Just look at me :P

I'm a wadder, like RamboPreacher. Pull my covers up over the pillow at least, but I don't make it super neat and tidy every day.

Funny thought though, notice how at camp every body takes time to make their bed before leaving the dorm? Though at home we don't always! I guess that is just courtesy for the others in the room. :)

I make my bed on my days off, usually. I leave for work an hour before my husband does so it doesn't get made those days. I would make my side of the bed, and try to, sort of but he has stolen almost all of the cover by the time I get up and as soon as I get back from the bathroom he usually has all of the cover wrapped around him. I'm not sure why I even make it on the days that I do because absolutely no one comes to my house. The only people I know here are the people I work with and I only see 2 of them away from the hospital and it is usually at Bonita's house because she has the pool! Of course I make it if my mom and step dad come to visit but that is seldom and I have plenty of warning before it happens.
I carry a lot of guilt around but whether or not I made my bed that day is usually not part of it.

Usually when I get up I do a little house work after morning prayer and devotional. But I dont always get to bedroom to clean before going to work. By the time I get home from work and get dinner it is time to get back in bed.
When I wash the bed sheets which is usually once a week I will make the bed then. If company is coming over I usually just close the bedroom door. That is mine and my husband's room no one needs to see what is in there.
