Do you fold or wad...

Postby RamboPreacher » May 3rd, 2006, 4:21 pm

When I pack for a trip, I almost never fold my sox, I usually just wad them up in the bottom of the suitcase. I think it is probably a minor streak of rebelion from when I had to ball and fold my sox when I was in the army.

When I saw the title of this thread, I could have sworn it was about toilet paper habits.

I thought we were going back to the "making the bed" poll.

Maybe we should start a "Who's a neat freak?" poll! Then we can all pile on and give them a hard time!
..I press on to take hold of that
for which Christ took hold of me.

When I was a kid, Mom taught me to ball them up. When I got married, wife said that balling up the socks stretches the elastic around the calf and ruins the socks so now we pair them up and fold them in half at the heel. I really prefer to ball them up because fewer socks get lost or separated that way but   8)

No, they mean if you ever find a matched set used, they are something to be treasured as a rare thing!

It's an ongoing joke in my family that "SHE NEVERS PUTS MY SOCKS TOGETHER" is in my divorce papers.

I think this may be an issue that is nearly up there with "money matters" that challenge the newlyweds, and long-time marrieds alike! :)

We usually roll them for packing in a suitcase, but for everyday use, we're normally pulling them out of the dryer!

I wonder if those who roll tp are the same ones who fold their socks and make their bed every morning???
