Physically Adam lived:
Genesis 5:5
And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

Philosophically I believe you could say that Adam died when he ate the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge.

That very day he eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. To answer the question how old, if taken that man was made in the image of God on the sixth day and God rested having completed all of creation on the seventh then my assumption would be that Man died after eating the fruit of knowledge after the seventh day making him only one day old.

The canonized version of the Old Testament does not state any particular time period. However, the Book of Jubilees (2 century BC) 3:17, states Eve was tempted on the 17th day of the 2nd month of the 8th year after Adam's creation. It goes on to say in 3:33 that they were expelled on the new moon of the 4th month of the 8th year. Accordingly your answer would be seven years, four months and some days.
