There's a huge difference in "right to privacy" and "honesty". The refusal to make a public display of his sermons isn't an honesty issue. I have hundreds of sermons filed away, many of them "churchy" and arrogant. I wouldn't show them either.

pa

Ditto pa... I guess my comments earlier were so good they flew over everyone's head still wanting full disclosure/exposure.

The democrats are just chomping at the bits for these sermons.. so
(1) They + Media can pit Baptist against Mormon - FAITH against FAITH as stated before. Rip apart what they don't possess.

(2) The Democrats can take the higher "faith/moral" ground by dividing and conquering the now deemed extremists. They will frame these guys as then so EXTREME (against real Jesus, blacks/minorities, women, children and EVEN the environment) .. it will disenchant you so you will vote for more liberal social issues (accepting abortion, gay rights etc) or just stay home.... They win!

(3) They want to steer our final Presidential choices between Pro Abortion, Pro Gay candidates and relegate Anti-Abortion, Gay Marriage issues to the extreme right. This will blur the lines and reconfigure even the arguments in the future.

This "full disclosure" is such a poised media setup for the entire republican nomination - Don't Drink It. Huck isn't even my first choice. I have some serious issues with him.. but will gleefully support him, if nominated.

Just my 2 cents.
God Bless.

Huck is big on taxes. Look for his record as Gov. of Arkansas. He raised taxes all over the place on everything you can think of including internet usage in your home.

Does he believe OSAS? If so why does the Christian part even matter to you? I mean if he as a minister supports and teaches that then what makes him so great? Would you vote for Benny Hinn if he ran as a Repub.?

I read my voters pamphlets and vote on the person I think best qualifed politically. Me, I don't vote for a person based on their religious beliefs.
Let the wild rumpus start!

As stated before, governors and presidents DON'T RAISE TAXES! That whole taxation without representation thing, don't cha know!

Congress and state legislators are the only ones authorized to raise taxes.
The Bible calls children a blessing and debt a curse, but in our culture we apply for curses and reject blessings.

But (some) State Gov's and the President CAN Veto Taxes. Why would he not do so if he could?

Give me the facts, nothing but the facts, without the hype and glamor shots. WHY should I vote for your guy? I don't want a video about how nice he is or some fluff on his family or religion. What is his position on the Economy and Taxes. How does he feel about copyright and intellectual property laws? What is his stance on Freedom of Religion and Separation of Church and state? Don't give me labels like conservative or liberal, give me where he stands, how he has voted, or what laws he signed into being or vetoed out of existance. I don't care what he says about Iraq because if EVERYONE were honest, they'd say we can't pull out right now and we have to stay, probably for 20 years or more. I want to know how he feels about Defense and Defense spending, School Funding and REAL educational improvement instead of hollow promises and empty budgets.

Many of these things are available on his website, www.mikehuckabee.com. If you do a little research, you will find most of what you desire. The way I found out about him was to dig and research myself. Neither Huckabee, nor I, have the time to give you a line item list of answers to your questions.

You come across as someone who is sitting on his couch with his arms folded waiting for someone to dump your idea of the perfect candidate in your lap. I hope that you are going to expend some effort yourself to find out what each candidate stands for instead of depending on me, Drudge, or Al Franken to tell you what (s)he thinks.

Then Steve, you don't know me very well. I do not trust what is on any candidate's webpage just as I do not trust what a commercial for Aleve says about its side effects. I need to see the EVIDENCE of what they are saying and no one has stepped up with anything more than rhetoric.

I have read and re-read every published work I can find by the candidates (Even Hillary's "It Takes a Village", Lord knows I wish I could sue her for the time it took.) I have watched their press conferences whenever possible and even have searches saved on YouTube to get the ones I miss (Turned off Obama's for a while, got tired of Obama Girl.) At this point, I probably have about as much info on Huckabee as anyone and I am STILL bothered by inconsistencies in what he says compared to what he does.

I am not sitting waiting for someone to tell me who to vote for in this election, I am looking and waiting for anyone to give me a solid GOOD reason to vote for one of these losers over another and I cannot find one reason which is compelling. Is it asking too much to have a sound reason to base a vote upon before casting it? Apparently so.

BTW "bud", next time read where it says Author and you'll see that my name is Andy, not bud, so please use it next time instead of the derogatory use of a term of endearment and I doubt you'll get such a vitriolic response and I AM gonna vote, I just don't know if it'll be for one of these guys or a write-in---Maybe a good business man like South Korea just voted in.

I apologize for obviously offending you, Andy. It was my Good ol' Boy coming out...thus the punctuation. Have some coffee and relax.

I am not offended, but a bit aggravated that everyone makes the assumption their colloquialism is accepted by all people everywhere. I do not call anyone "bud", "boy", "dude", or any such term as it shows a lack of respect for the person being addressed. I still say "Yes, Sir" and "Yes, Ma'am" to any who are older or hold a higher rank than I do and I am teaching my son to show the same respect to others.

I am also so relaxed the folks around me check for breathing on occasion :P Written word does not properly convey emotion and thus you read me as uptight and lazy and I read you as disrespectful and arrogant. Maybe we should both rethink our positions?

I think I should state my position on the whole messages flap a bit more succinctly.

I am not asking that private "notes" be made public. I would like to see the text of the messages delivered in public, MADE public again. Whatever WASN'T said is not public record and I agree no one has a right to call for them to be made public.

BUT

What was said in public should be published. Just as I would expect ANY speaking by ANY candidate made in the public be available for PUBLIC review.

OK Steve I concede that neither governors or presidents raise taxes nor do they legislate at all, beyond executive orders that is. With that thought in mind you nor I should be so afraid of Hillary Clinton but should focus more on our congressman and Senators.
